This policy explains how Benon Home AB uses your personal data when you shop with us, sign up for our newsletter, contact us or visit benonhome.com.

What we collect and why

You place an order

What we collect: Name, address, email, phone, order details.

Why: To deliver your order, handle returns and complaints, and keep accounts.

Legal basis: Our contract with you, and the Swedish Bookkeeping Act.

You sign up for our newsletter

What we collect: Email, and name if you give it.

Why: To send you news of new pieces and events.

Legal basis: Your consent.

You contact us

What we collect: Name, email, your message.

Why: To answer you.

Legal basis: Our legitimate interest, or our contract if it concerns an order.

You visit our website

What we collect: Cookie and device data.

Why: To run the site, prevent fraud, and with your consent understand how it is used and show relevant ads.

Legal basis: Our legitimate interest, or your consent for cookies that are not necessary.

Card details are handled by our payment providers and never stored by us. If you have shopped with us, we may write to you about similar pieces. You can unsubscribe in every email.

Who we share it with

Shopify (our online store), Google Workspace (email), PostNord and UPS (delivery), Shopify Payments and Klarna (payment), Klaviyo (newsletter) and, only with your consent, Google and Meta (analytics and advertising). We share data with authorities only when required by law, and we never sell it.

Some of these providers may process data outside the EU, for example in the United States. Such transfers are protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Order data is kept for seven years, as required by the Swedish Bookkeeping Act. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe, and messages to customer care for two years.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive a copy in a portable format. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Write to us at care@benonhome.com and we will reply within a month.

If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), www.imy.se, or the authority where you live.
