At Benon, we believe that beautiful things deserve to be cared for. Our cashmere is woven and made in Biella, Italy, from pure cashmere, chosen for its softness, warmth and lasting quality.
As a natural fibre, cashmere develops its own character with time and use. With proper care, each piece can remain a part of your home for many years.
Cleaning
Dry clean only. We recommend using a professional cleaner experienced in caring for fine cashmere.
Avoid frequent cleaning to preserve the natural fibres and softness of the fabric.
Do not wash, bleach or tumble dry.
For minor spills, gently blot with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid rubbing the fabric.
Ironing
If necessary, iron at a low temperature using a pressing cloth to protect the cashmere.
Alternatively, gently steam from a distance to release creases without direct contact with the fabric.
Between Uses
Allow your cashmere to air naturally between uses, away from direct sunlight and heat.
Over time, small pills may appear in areas of friction. This is a natural characteristic of cashmere and can be gently removed using a cashmere comb.
Storage
Store folded in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
We recommend storing cashmere in a breathable cotton bag rather than plastic.
Always ensure the piece is clean before storing it for longer periods. Cedar or lavender in the wardrobe is a traditional and gentle deterrent against moths.
